Castelldefels is a tourist town par excellence. However, it is also renowned for being an ideal destination for sport and leisure, and has been named a Sport Tourism Destination by the Catalan Government, owing to its numerous sports activities, facilities, and infrastructures.

Sport

In Castelldefels you can practice rowing, sailing, kayaking, swimming, mountain biking, football, 5-a-side football, basketball, judo, handball, beach volleyball, pitch and putt, tennis, etc.

The Olympic Channel of Catalonia is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel and there you can practice all types of water sports that are suitable for any level or age group.

Parks and Gardens

Starting out from the hotel we suggest a pleasant 20-minute walk to the beach, -there are two bike paths and a very safe one for pedestrians-, skirting the Olympic Channel and then linking up with the Promenade which is over 4 km long.

For mountain lovers we suggest you visit Garraf Natural Park, directly accessible from Castelldefels. Its 12,000 hectares offer several paths to choose from, including a Green Route, which is great for getting to know the most emblematic places in the park.

Right in the middle of the park lies the first Buddhist Monastery in Catalonia, where they organise various courses related to relaxation techniques and human and personal growth.

Beaches

Castelldefels beach is one of the most striking in Barcelona and even Catalonia, straddling the Delta of the Llobregat River and the Mountains of Garraf.

The beach, which offers all kinds of services and facilities, is 4.8 km long, an average of 90m wide, and covers an area of 500,000 m2, making it ideal for bathing, and all types of water sports and activities.

Nightlife

The coastline marks the pace of the nightlife in Castelldefels. There are venues to suit all tastes, with huge terraces facing the sea and on the promenade that offer live music.

If what you prefer is a more relaxed and exclusive atmosphere , then look no further than Poble Vell, where you will find small, tastefully-decorated establishments offering elaborate drinks and cocktail menus accompanied by ambient music.
